Standing in the long now

Last year Aoradh contributed a worship installation  to Greenbelt Festival , Cheltenham England.

This was based on the idea of a walk through time, inviting participants to be grateful for those who went before us, participate fully in the present and be hopeful for the future.

We will be setting up this installation again on Dunoon Pier on Saturday May 15th.

Come along and walk the time line!

Worship circle evenings

Worship in modern prostestant churches can so easily become about music and musicians. There is little room for anything else. Musicians are often raised on a stage, and the 'audience' (or congregation) can often feel excluded as contributors to the overall worship.

Aoradh have a number of musicians. We love to sing and play, but also want to include, not exclude people from our these times. We decided to try a new format- the 'worship circle', where we share our gifts in an open way, songs, poems, readings, prayers- whatever we bring as an offering.

These evenings have not always been tidy! After all, this is not a format that most of us know and so it can be uncomfortable!
